For the campsite, the check-in time is from 17:00 onwards. However, it is also possible to arrive before 13:00 by prior arrangement.
On the rolling grounds of Barbaia, a small and cozy campsite has been created. Our campsite in Piemonte is an ideal place to relax, offering approximately 20 spacious pitches for caravans, tents, and campers. From the campsite, you can enjoy views of the valley and the lake, and take a refreshing dip in the river.
Our campsite in Piemonte is centrally located in the Langhe, providing an ideal base for various excursions to places such as Alba, Savona, Cuneo, the Ligurian coast, and Turin. If you decide to stay elsewhere for a night, Verona and Milan are also wonderful places to visit.
Sanitary facilities
For campsite guests, there is a nice sanitary building on the campsite. Both the men’s and women’s sections have 2 showers with sinks and three toilets. Additionally, there are two dishwashing areas. Various electricity and water points are available on the campsite. Reservations can be made through our contact page!
Shaded areas
At our beautiful campsite, you not only enjoy the warm sun rays, but we also understand that sometimes a bit of shade is desired. That’s why we’ve carefully selected shady spots that provide relief from the sun at different times of the day.
Whether you want to enjoy a relaxing breakfast in the cool shade in the morning, or prefer to avoid the sun while reading a book in the afternoon, we have something for everyone. When booking your campsite, you can specify your preference for the time you prefer shade.
Relax and enjoy nature without worrying about the heat. We strive to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, from sunrise to sunset.
Environmentally friendly facilities
Ecological breakdown of wastewater: Everything flushed through the shower, toilet, or sink is ecologically broken down. This process occurs through fermentation in multiple pits with sediment, with overflow to the next pit.
No disposal site for chemical toilets: There is no disposal site for chemical toilets on the premises. This is located in the nearby village. However, ecological, or ‘green’, toilet contents can be safely discharged through the toilet system.
Solar energy for hot water: Solar panels have been installed on the sanitary facilities to provide water heating in an environmentally friendly manner.
Waste management: Behind the sanitary building, there is a designated area for separated waste, which is removed daily. Distinctions are made between organic waste, plastic, metal, and glass.
Preservation of flora: The grass is intentionally not fully mowed to give bees, insects, animals, and especially beautiful flowers the opportunity to thrive.
The surroundings of Barbaia
Near our campsite in Piemonte, there are numerous possibilities for relaxing, active, culinary, and cultural activities. You can, for example, visit a winery or hazelnut farm, explore the castle in Prunetto, have espresso on the square of Levice, or go to the market in Alba. In all these places, you’ll find charming bars and trattorias, and you can wander through narrow streets for hours. If you want to go to the coast, you can drive to Savona, a beautiful harbor town, in just a small hour.
7 km away is the village of Cortemilia, where you can do all your shopping and get the best pizzas. Additionally, there is a market every Friday morning where local products, jewelry, and clothing are sold.
