Beautiful location in a lovely valley in the Hazelnut region. Kars and Karin are incredibly hospitable and make you feel completely at ease. Five days in the B&B were wonderful. Lovely rooms, delicious food (tip: join the dinners with the groups, it’s cozy), drinks, and a nice cool off by the river.

What a fantastic B&B! We enjoyed the few days we stayed here. Super beautiful room, wow! A very cozy atmosphere prevails. Karin, who takes care of the inner self, can cook amazingly, and together with Kara, they create wonderful evenings with wine and food, which last the whole evening. Plenty to see in the area, and Karin and Kars provide helpful tips. All in all, a very special place with lots of personal attention for guests, bravo! Highly recommended!

Enjoyed it with a capital E! And what treasures Kars and Karin are. Super beautiful campsite, and the food Karin conjures up in the kitchen is magnificent! Cozy meals with other guests under the pergola. The river at the bottom of the campsite is perfect for hot summer days. We will definitely return. Love, Andre and Femke, and a paw from Uncle Joop.

Staying in the B&B was very pleasant. The room was excellent. We fully enjoyed the dinner prepared by the creative chef and the local wine. It was a very cozy evening. The next morning also an excellent breakfast.

Beautiful B&B at the foot of Piedmont. Great wineries nearby and fun day trips to the Ligurian Riviera, Alba, or Turin. Delicious food and a friendly atmosphere. Absolutely recommended!

What a beautiful place! We enjoyed the space, the cozy atmosphere, and especially Kars’ hospitality. We had two delicious dinners with great wine together with the other camping guests. On the third evening, we had a fun pizza night by the campfire. Too bad Karin wasn’t there this time, but next time we will definitely meet her. Because that we will return is certain. And then we’ll try the B&B.

What a stunning place, what a beautiful B&B. We had a gorgeous room with a surrounding balcony, a huge bathroom, and a lovely bed. The best part were the meals. Every other day, a 5-course dinner with delicious fresh products prepared by Karin. Absolutely delicious and super cozy. Sometimes 24 guests at two big tables, excellent wine, great conversations. The surroundings are beautiful and green with charming villages. Don’t worry about the weather forecasts — it was mostly great. Kars and Karin, you are genuine, lovely people with your hearts in the right place. Maybe we’ll meet again, but we will definitely recommend you to everyone. Love, JP and Anke.

We stayed 18 days at your campsite and thoroughly enjoyed the peace, nature, surroundings, and most importantly your warmth, enthusiasm, and friendliness. In the mornings the bread rolls, sometimes even delivered because we overslept, and in the evenings a drink on the terrace with the other guests. And of course the shared dinners. A lovely and welcoming place where we felt truly at home. We enjoyed the communal dinner — Karin prepares wonderful meals! A great way to get to know fellow campers. Excellent price-quality ratio. The dog fee is a bit on the high side compared to other campsites. Gorgeous surroundings with villages where time seems to have stood still. We spent 5 wonderful days at your campsite. We can confirm all the positive feedback in this guestbook. Charming campsite, cooling stream, communal long-table dinners, fine wines. Hazelnut and wine region with lots of forest. In addition to the mentioned cities, many small villages like Roccaverano with breathtaking views. Karin, Kars, and Peter made our stay a personal experience. Truly appreciated.

We had a wonderful time! We were assigned a fantastic spot (fully booked due to high season). Amazing facilities. A lovely terrace and bar for afternoon drinks. We also enjoyed great meals prepared by Karin, Kars, and Peter. The campsite is beautifully laid out, sloping into the valley where you can swim in the river. The surroundings are breathtaking. After every turn, a new postcard view. Charming villages and towns. Upon leaving, Kars gave us a tour of the B&B — what a stunning ambiance! We had a fantastic time. Thank you Karin, Kars, and Peter. Thank you for 5 days of hospitality. Our lovely room, Il Piccolo, was very atmospheric and beautifully restored with authentic details. Comfort with the charm of an old farmhouse. Excellent breakfasts at the bar. Delicious meals, both the communal dinner and the bar meals. The tranquility, the beautiful surroundings, and our stay gave us that real holiday feeling.

Just spent 5 days at the campsite. What a lovely place! It was great to enjoy Karin’s delicious and elaborate meals with a large group of people several times. During our journey through Piemonte, we also booked a night at Barbaia. Communication via WhatsApp was easy, and we could reserve dinner and breakfast. It was early May and still very quiet, but what a beautiful place and lovely people to stay with. Highly recommended if you enjoy good food with a nice glass of wine. Great options for hiking and cycling nearby; a trip to Bergolo is highly recommended — there’s a lovely terrace for lunch with a great view over the valley. Thank you, Kars and Karin, for the warm welcome.

Back in the Netherlands, we fondly reminisce about our stay at the campsite with Karin and Kars. A beautiful location, stunning vistas, a refreshing stream near the campsite, and two owners who prioritize hospitality and conviviality. Especially the delightful food and drinks at the long table, accompanied by enjoyable and surprising conversations, and concluding with a limoncello or hazelnut liqueur, are etched in our memories. We had a wonderful week at your B&B this summer. Even during the busiest time of the year, you can find tranquility with you! Beautiful location, lovely renovated rooms. Super welcoming and helpful! We are very satisfied with the service provided and the enjoyable conversations. A delicious, extensive breakfast with a view of the valley, the opportunity to join the tasty group dinners where you could also get to know the other guests, and the bar/terrace where you could quietly enjoy the warm day in the evening. The river was also a nice and refreshing place to be. The combination of the two connecting rooms was ideal with our two little ones and highly recommended! We had two delightful days at Kars and Karin’s. On the first day, we were immediately invited to join a 7-course dinner, allowing us to meet several other guests. It was incredibly enjoyable and (more than) delicious. Both the campsite and the bed and breakfast look beautiful. An additional highlight is the cozy bar with delightful wines, a perfect place to unwind at the end of the day. In short, a place to fall in love with and cherish in our memories.

During our road trip with the bus camper, we unexpectedly ended up in Barbaia. We were warmly welcomed by Karin and Kars. The idyllic farmhouse, the tranquility of the campsite, beautiful surroundings, and the sweet, friendly campsite guests made for a delightful week. Never before have we stayed in one place with the camper for a whole week. That says enough… The icing on the cake was the delicious food that Karin cooked. Thank you very much, dear Karin and Kars! What an amazing week I experienced at the Barbaia campsite. The welcome was very warm and hospitable, the meals by Karin were excellent, and the maintenance of the buildings and lawns by Kars was impeccable. The delicious wines flowed abundantly. We were seeking tranquility after two weeks of traveling through France and Italy. Found this tranquility at Barbaia. Friendly reception, beautiful location. Enjoyed cooling off in the river, and every other day, we were treated to a delicious meal prepared by Karin. A fantastic stay and highly recommended. Five nights at Barbaia, DELIGHTFUL! The campsite: small, fine, fully equipped, and beautifully situated. After a warm and enthusiastic welcome, you immediately feel at home. Add to that the beautifully renovated farmhouse, and your stay couldn’t be better. The idyllic small river behind the campsite provides a pleasant cooling effect, and from late afternoon, you can visit the lovely little bar where, apart from the camaraderie with Karin, Kars, and the guests, you can find good wines and delicious food. Insider Tip: Karin’s authentic dishes are delicious; seize the opportunity if you get it! The location is excellent and a great base for exploring the beautiful surroundings or simply doing nothing at all. In the small villages nearby, you can find everything you need for groceries. This was an excellent camping spot for us, and we had a great time. The hospitality of Karin and Kars was the icing on the cake! Grazie Mille and until next time.

Well….where do we begin, what shall we write? It’s essentially a summary of the reviews already written, all equally positive. And that is certainly deserved by Karin, Kars, and Niek. What wonderful, hardworking people. Niek, in the bar, is also so pleasant and interested in the guests. We stayed 4 nights at the campsite. Beautiful location, good facilities. Hospitality, conviviality, delicious food, and lovely people. Sharing a table with other guests, under the pergola, or in the bar led to enjoyable and beautiful conversations. What a warm welcome and how genuinely hospitable and hardworking you all are – Kars, Karin, and your son Niek. So warm and genuinely interested, you create such a welcoming and cozy place to be. We stayed at the campsite – wonderfully quiet, with a beautiful view and a refreshing river nearby. Having a car is very convenient. The supermarket is about an 11-minute drive in Cortemillia, where there is a delightful Italian restaurant. If you love tranquility, space, and delicious food prepared by the hostess in Italian style (eating outside at a long table), then this is the place to be. Thank you for your thoughtfulness (when our cooler broke and we were a bit panicked) and for the wonderful conversations. Wishing you all the success!
