The rooms of Barbaia

Barbaia has 7 rooms, where we have been able to keep all the original spaces of the old house of the original owner family. As a result, the rooms vary in size and furnishings, each room is unique, and always guaranteed of a nice view.

For the B&B, the check-in time is from 17:00 PM. It is also possible to arrive before 13:00 by arrangement.

You can choose a room with a cozy loft, or the room where you sleep under the original fireplace of the kitchen. Some rooms are very suitable for several people or families, others are perfect for a romantic weekend where the two of you can watch a crackling fire from the bath or bed. All rooms have a private bathroom and a beautiful view, which you can also admire from the balcony in most rooms.

Furnishing and facilities

Because a good night’s sleep is important, we have paid a lot of attention to the beds. All rooms have a large double bed or two single beds. Some rooms have an extra sofa bed. Each room has a spacious bathroom with shower and toilet, some with a separate bath and others with a luxurious large walk-in shower.
Wifi is available in the building.

The prices for the rooms are based on 2 persons. For additional persons, an extra € 15.00 per night will be charged.

Room 1 La Cucina

Sleep in the former kitchen under the large hearth, where the ‘stufa’ used to be. Now, there’s a comfortable double bed, making the former heart of the house a special and romantic place to rest. Preserving all the original elements, a balcony with a view, and a luxurious bathroom with a walk-in shower, this room is perfect for an extended stay at Barbaia.

 

Room 2 Il Piccolo

Il Piccolo is a cozy, compact double room. With its natural stone wall, original built-in wardrobe, and spacious balcony, it is a very pleasant room to stay in. The private terrace of this room invites you to enjoy a cappuccino in the morning or a refreshing drink later in the day. The room features a lovely private bathroom with a shower and toilet.

 

Room 3 Il Soggiorno

In this en-suite room, you stay in the former living room of the farmhouse. Comprising 2 rooms and a separate bathroom, it is ideal as a family room. Here, you’ll find authentic elements such as natural stone walls, a large hearth, and original chestnut wood doors.

‘Il soggiorno’ is suitable as a spacious family room with a comfortable sofa bed in the living room, but it can also serve as a double room. In that case, the room offers a spacious sitting and living area alongside a roomy bedroom.

 

Room 4 Il Cathedrale

This room, located on the first floor, is called ‘il Cathedrale’ due to the beautiful old wooden beam constructions and preserved high walls. The Cathedral is a very spacious double room with high ceilings and features a luxurious bathroom with a large walk-in shower, a corner bathtub, a spacious sink, and toilet and bidet. From the room and the balcony, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the valley.

 

Room 5 L’Abbiano

‘L’Abbiano’ means dormer window in Italian. This charming family room, featuring a lot of wood, spans two levels and is well-suited for multiple people. The room has a spacious separate bathroom with a large shower on the lower floor. Via the original and easy staircase, you reach the large and spacious sleeping floor, where an additional toilet and sink can be found. The room boasts a broad dormer window with large windows and the most beautiful view.

 

Room 6 Il Soppalco

‘Il Soppalco’ is a cozy room with a beautiful sleeping loft, providing extra space for a sitting area. In the sitting area with natural stone walls, there is a sofa bed that can accommodate an additional 2 people if needed. On the balcony, you can enjoy the view of the valley. The charming bathroom features a spacious shower and toilet.

 

Room 7 Luna die Miele

Room 7, Luna die Miele – which means bridal suite in Italian, is named so because it is the largest room and offers a beautiful view of the valley and the nearby church. It can hardly get more romantic than this. The luxurious bathroom features both a shower and a freestanding bathtub. Thanks to the built-in double fireplace, you can enjoy a crackling fire from both the bathtub and the bed. In the hallway, there is a separate toilet and bidet. The room has a double balcony accessible from both the bedroom and the bathroom, providing a spot in the sun or shade at all times.
