Wine Villages and Tastings
Barolo
This iconic destination, known for its Nebbiolo grape, produces some of Italy’s finest wines, including the renowned “wine of kings and queens,” Barolo. In addition to exploring the wine shops, bars, and restaurants, you can also visit the unique corkscrew museum.
Barbaresco
From the top of the hill, the “Torre di Barbaresco” offers breathtaking views of the surroundings—a true must-see. Enjoy local wines during a tasting session and savor delicious dishes that pair perfectly with the refined flavors of Barbaresco wine. Don’t forget to visit the beautiful San Giovanni Battista Church next to the tower.

Hazelnut Region
Only 40 minutes from Barbaia is the historic city of Alba, the birthplace of Ferrero, one of the most iconic chocolate brands. Unfortunately, visiting the Ferrero factory is not possible, but you can see the factory from afar and might even catch a whiff of chocolate if you’re close enough!
In the vicinity, you’ll find plenty of places to enjoy local hazelnut products, such as markets, local bakeries, and farm shops.
Historic Castles
Explore the rich history of Piedmont by visiting some of the beautiful castles around our B&B. Discover the enchanting beauty of Grinzane Cavour, an imposing medieval castle overlooking the surrounding vineyards.
